A SaaS blog that brings in sign-ups

A SaaS blog has one job: bring the right people to your product. Khalid helps a software team publish posts that search engines and AI tools find, under the same address and look as the main website.

Who this SaaS blog setup is for #

A small product team with a marketing site built in something else, such as a site builder or a web framework. The team wants a blog at /blog/ on the same domain, written by a few people, and checked before it goes live.

The problem it solves #

Blogs bolted onto a product site often fall behind. Posts go out without descriptions, links break when a page moves, and nobody knows which posts bring in readers. Fixing that by hand takes time the team does not have.

What Khalid gives a SaaS blog #

  • It lives under your domain. Khalid runs at a folder of your site, such as /blog/, and theme sync copies your colours, fonts and logo.
  • Every post is ready for search. The writing checks stop weak posts and teach your writers as they go.
  • AI search can quote you. Khalid writes the structured data and AI files that help AI tools understand and cite your pages.
  • You see what works. Analytics without cookies shows which posts bring readers, including readers sent by AI tools.
  • It fits your stack. If your site is built with Astro or Next.js, a starter project shows Khalid's posts inside it through the blog API.

How to set it up #

  1. Run khalid init and answer /blog/ when it asks where the blog lives.
  2. Tell it what your main site runs on. khalid init prints the rule that sends /blog/ to Khalid for nginx, Caddy, Apache, Traefik, a Cloudflare Worker, Vercel, Next.js, Netlify, Webflow or Shopify.
  3. Run theme sync with your main site's address, so the blog wears your brand from day one.
  4. Write a first post that answers a question your sales calls hear every week, and publish it.

The deploy guide covers running Khalid as a server for the admin, analytics and forms.
